2024-2025 Releases from Opti-Coat
It has been a very busy 2024-2025 at Opti-Coat and Optimum Car Care. In the last six months we've developed and revised more products than ever. Dr. G has spent a considerable amount of time in his lab developing new products and improving our current formulas.

This year marks the release of Optimum No Rinse Wash & Shine Version 6. A Redditor, in reference to the release of ONR Version 6, commented;
"I think it’s neat that Opti-Coat continues to innovate despite having no obligation or necessity to do so. Many companies must innovate because of market pressures or inherent flaws in their products. ONR is already a beloved product and has [been] dominating market share in the rinseless product space. So they really don’t have to make new versions to sell their product. They could just call it “good enough” and be done like many many other companies do. So, again, I think it’s pretty neat and respectable that they keep chipping away at perfecting it."
Dr. G invented Optimum No Rinse Wash & Shine twenty years ago. It was the first rinseless wash developed for automotive paint. Just this week, we released Version 6 of ONR. ONR is wildly successful holding 85% market share of the rinseless car wash market. It is our best selling product and the best selling rinseless car wash in the world. It is also our most well-known product. We continue to improve ONR as technology advances solely because we want to put out the best products possible.
Shortly before ONR Version 6 was released, we released an update to the beloved Big Red Sponge. Big Red Sponge 2.0 uses the same red foam as the original. It features a different cut for easier grip and pointed ends for better access to tight areas such as door handles. The original Big Red Sponge and BRS 2.0 are Made in the USA like all of our chemicals and polishing pads.
Another notable release is Optimum No Rinse Hyper Foam, a foaming version of ONR. Our customers have been asking us for years to create a foaming version of ONR. The problem with foam is that it requires surfactants and surfactants leave residue. We could have easily added soap to ONR to create foam but that isn't an acceptable solution to us. Instead, we developed a polymer surfactant formula that allows for foaming without leaving behind residue that will eventually need rinsing.
Opti-Coat Ultra Shine Ceramic Coating is our new Professional 2-Year Warranty ceramic coating. In a departure from our high end Silicon Carbide or industrial diamond chemistry, Ultra Shine uses Silicon Dioxide or industrial quartz. This gives our ceramic coating customers and Pro Installers a lower cost option with extremely high shine, slickness, and the ability to fill light swirls and scratches.
Based on Opti-Coat Ultra Shine, we created a consumer or DIY ceramic coating called Optimum Hyper Shine. Hyper Shine is the easiest to install ceramic coating ever created, it is even easier to apply than wax. It takes away the issue of high spots and flash (cross-linking) time. Like Ultra Shine, it features insane shine, slickness, and fills light swirls and scratches. Hyper Shine is offered as a high end premium alternative to Optimum Gloss-Coat.
Optimum Touchless Decon Wash started off in development as a touch free car wash. However, in testing, we found it to have a better and higher use as a decontamination car wash. It has become one of our biggest selling products and a huge hit with our Professional customers. Our customers are using it for decontamination, ceramic coating preparation, ceramic coating maintenance, and even to maintain industrial and farm equipment. Traditionally, high alkaline products like Optimum Power Clean were used for many of these functions. However, high alkaline formulas can be tricky to use outdoors in the sun. Touchless Decon Wash solves theses issues and is much more pleasant to use than a heavy duty APC.
Other notable releases including Optimum Hyper AIO, a new line of premium microfiber towels called Pro Plush, Hyper Weave and the Ultimate Detailing Towel, the Opti-Coat HURRICANE Air Blow Out Tool, a new line of Optimum Beveled Waffle Foam Pads, Optimum Renew Microfiber & Pad Detergent and Optimum Interior Ceramic Coating.
