Comparing Professional Ceramic Coating Warranties
Not all professional ceramic coating warranties are created equal. There are now even some coatings being marketed by professional installers that have no warranty. An informed consumer should read the fine print of warranties offered with the ceramic coatings they are considering. Most ceramic coating warranties cover only reapplication of the coating in the event of failure. They don’t cover incidental damage such as paint or surface damage resulting from coating failure or improper application.
Unfortunately for many, the first indication that there is an issue with their ceramic coating or the application is paint or vehicle damage. Warranties offered by many companies other than Opti-Coat won’t cover this damage and have limitations such as claim limits or low dollar amounts for coverage limits. When shopping for a ceramic coating and the associated warranty protection, choose carefully and be sure to read the warranty terms.
